Hi, my name’s Sarah Star and welcome to my book review blog. Let me tell you a bit about myself so that you can see my background and understand my passion for reading.
I was born in Ohio in 1979. During my childhood and adolescence, I lived in various cities across the US due to my father’s work that took us all over the country. I now live in Oklahoma with my family and 2 girls.
I have always liked to read and write, and I suppose that is why I decided to study Library and Information Science. In 2004 I passed the competitive examinations for the Facultative Body of Archivists, Librarians and Archaeologists and started working at a big library in Phoenix. In 2008 I asked for a voluntary leave of absence, I left everything and went to live in Oklahoma (ended staying here ever since).
In my time of living here, I have got married, had 2 children and have written my first novel. It didn’t work out as well as I wanted to, so I started writing a second novel a little while back.
I have received some literary awards and several stories of mine are published in various anthologies. Regarding my second novel, I am now trying to get it published, so I will have to see how that goes.
In this blog I am focusing on reviews of books. These reviews will be nonfiction and fiction.
